Frequently Asked Questions

Will I be hypnotised?

You will not be hypnotised in the conventional understanding of the term i.e. that you do not have conscious thought or memory of the session.  You will be deeply relaxed and in this state you will be able to take on board the suggestions that reinforce your goals at a deeper subconscious level.

Will I have to do anything?

All you have to do is relax and listen to my voice.

I find it hard to relax, will it still work for me?

Often, people who don’t relax easily really benefit from hypnotherapy because it helps them to switch off in a way that they normally find difficult.

Do I need to prepare for a session?

I would advise you not to have tea or coffee for at least two hours before a session because they are stimulants which will make it harder for you to switch off. I also recommend you wear cosy clothing so that you feel really comfortable during the session.

How many sessions will I need?

It does depend on how deep routed the issue is that you are working on. Many people find that one session gives them what they need, for others four or five sessions may be necessary.  I have some clients who like to come for a monthly relaxation. If you book for one session there is no pressure to commit to more unless you wish to do so.

Are there any potentially negative side effects?

No, hypnotherapy is a very safe and gentle form of therapy.

How long does a session last?

A session can last anywhere between 30 minutes to one-hour

How much does it cost?

Sessions are £60 each. Six sessions cost £300. Home visits are charged at between £5 -10 depending on distance.

Can I find out more before committing?

You can book up for an initial consultation.  This is completely free and there is no obligation to go ahead.
